Working For ETM K Rouse Civil Engineers constructed a new Sewage Treatment works in South Yorkshire for Yorkshire Water as part of a £1.8 million project to create a hi-tech under ground sewage treatment works.
Our works included the installation of drainage, interceptors and storage tanks to the new underground facility, replacing the existing above-ground sewage treatment works which had served the local population since the 1960's.
A two-fold increase in the size of the local population over the years had meant that it was over-capacity and only just managing to treat the extra flows it was receiving on a daily basis.
